Basic brushing between sessions, yes. But full grooming carries real risk if you're not experienced. A rabbit's skin is paper-thin and tears easily under clippers, and cutting a nail too close to the quick causes real bleeding and pain. Most owners are safer handling light daily brushing and leaving de-shedding, nail trims, and hygiene checks to a professional every 6–8 weeks.
Rabbits can't vomit, so fur they ingest while self-grooming has nowhere to go, if left unmanaged, can cause a life-threatening gut blockage. Regular de-shedding removes loose fur before your rabbit swallows it, which is as much a health measure as a cosmetic one.
